Kathman do’s and dont’s
June 27, 2009So Bel and her sister insisted that I get a Kathmandu jacket for the cold wintery weather in Europe. What better time to do this than at a Kathmandu sale! My issue was that I wasn’t sure whether it was socially acceptable to be wearing such a big jacket in Perth without looking like a homie or George Costanza with his Gortex. Fears aside, I was determined to get a army green coloured jacket. They had them without sleeves but none with the full sleeves and hoodie. I seemed that they made less colours for the guys. So they in became a toss up between black and red. The red appealed to me for some reason but I knew black was always a safer option. So bel and I both tried on black ones and stood next to eachother. We either looked like a bunch of tourists or a bobsled team (think the east german team from Cool Runnings). Having seen this, I opted for red.
Reluctant as I was, I am so glad that I got this jacket. I feel invincible in this cold drafty weather. Thanks Kathmandu…

Bella looks as impressed as I am having to spend my weekends looking for ski gear for winter here with M. I believe the correct terminology is “technical wear”
Having said that I know I will be the first to freeze my arse off and complain when it gets cold!
